The "Volgomost" company has completed an important phase of the construction of the bridge in Balakovo in Saratov region on the sliding metal superstructure of the channel. Valery Radaev (Saratov Region Governor), members of the Regional Government, the leaders of Balakovo municipal district, as well as representatives of contractors came to watch the conclusion process.

"Today, for all the people in  Balakovo  is a long-awaited event - the complete sliding of the spans of the new bridge. Today, the facility involved the best specialists and bridge building contractors. The total cost of the new bridge - 5 billion. Not everyone in the region have the capacity to lead the construction of such large-scale facilities"- said the head of the region.

The specialists of "Volgomost" began the final stage of sliding bed part of the superstructure of the bridge on October 26 this year, joining with the right bank of the overpass there was a support number 11.

"Sliding span - this is very important and crucial phase of the construction of the bridge, the total length of metal bearing down to 505 meters, and weight - about 6,000 tons. In the construction of channel and temporary supports has been  fully applied Mostootryad  fleet, namely: 2 - barges, 4 - floating cranes, 4 - tugs, and 2 PLA  platform"- said the chief engineer of Volgomost Mostootryad № 8 Valery Ponomarev.

Construction of the bridge continued high rates - fully assembled right-bank part of the flyover, builders started installation of the main beams of the left bank. When an envelope of 25 meters length spans the bed part of the bridge is 105 m, 147 m, 147 m, 105 m, which can be attributed to the category of extra-curricular structure.
